About Manuka
The secret is in the New Zealand East Cape Manuka tree. Manuka was used extensively by the Maori and later by the early European Settlers as a medicinal plant. It was often used for the treatment of skin problems such as chronic sores, ringworm and eczema.
East Cape manuka oil is the natural essential oil found in the leaves of the Manuka trees growing wild on the East Cape of New Zealand. Manuka Oil is produced by low temperature steam distillation without the use of chemicals. The Manuka leaves and branchlets are wild harvested from naturally self-regenerating trees.
Manuka Oil has long been recognised for its powerful antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. This powerful oil helps to combat skin irritation and infections and protect skin from bacteria.
