    A:     Bioflavonoids are the plant pigments that are responsible for giving flowers and fruits their distinctive colours. Bilberries contain high levels of anthocyanosides which are responsible for the deep blue pigment colour of bilberries.

    Q: What is an antioxidant?
    A:     Antioxidants are naturally occurring nutrients that neutralise free radicals in the body which are responsible for tissue damage due to oxidative stress.

    A:     Good eyesight is dependent on the health of a delicate tissue at the back of the eye called the retina. Blood flow to the retina is a vital source of nutrients, but the tiny capillaries in the retina are easily damaged by toxins, eye strain and poor health.
