Green Lipped Mussel Supplement for Pet Health

PurePets Green Lipped Mussel may help alleviate joint discomfort in both dogs and cats, with beneficial nutrients such as protein, amino acids and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs).  The supplement is suitable for dogs and cats of all sizes to help alleviate sore and inflamed joints.  The small capsules are easy to swallow, and capsule contents can be extracted and mixed in with your pet's food.  Unique to New Zealand, Green Lipped Mussel (Green Shell Mussel) has been part of the regular diet of the indigenous people, the Maori, and still today it is collected and consumed by New Zealanders. Green Lipped Mussel is an excellent source of nutrients including natural marine protein and Omega 3 fatty acids.

  • Each capsule contains 200mg of Green Lipped Mussel powder (5:1) equivalent to 1000mg of fresh Green Lipped Mussel and encapsulating materials. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
  • 1-10kg give 1 capsule per day
    11-25kg give 2 capsules per day
    26-40kg give 3 capsules per day
    40+kg give 4 capsules per day
    Acute - give recommended dosage twice daily for 10 days then reduce to once daily or as required.

Pure Pets Green Lipped Muscle Caps

My Jack Russell has only been on the caps for just over a week so difficult to say just how she is for another few weeks, but hopefully will have good news for you soon. I have previously had another dog on similar medication with great results.

Great service

I have been using Deep Blue Health for a number of years. I use Green lipped muscle for both my dogs. I have a 14.5 year old and a 6 year old, both Border Terriers. I use the Green Lipped Muscle mainly for my older boy’s joints. I use it for my younger girl as a preventative. I’m very pleased with the results and would recommend it.

Great Results

We were giving our 11 yr old Scotch Collie, Piper, a multivitamin supplement with glucosamine but it wasn't enough to keep her at her optimum activity level and she was struggling to get up after naps. After less than a week of adding the green lipped mussel supplement to her diet we saw a good improvement. This is a good product!

Our 9 year old cat LOVES Pure Pets! She always knows when we hide medicine in her food but she is happy to take Pure Pets powder without anything! She does not seem to be sore from jumping off high fence anymore after taking the product.
